Yes...It is COLD

December 13, 2011 Twelve degrees, High Winds with Gusting Drifts up to 4' and a Wind Chill of Minus 21 forcast for overnight. Thanks for the update Tammy and Mark. Bundle up and snuggle!

Miss Tammy, our winter security person with Mr. Mark is "on duty". She even cheerfully walked over to the beach so that I could get her on "Beach Cam", and it was 18 degrees!! Tammy reports that there is no snow now but ice is beginning to build up on the shoreline. She and faithful Abby will keep us posted throughout the winter so that we can check out the pending snowfall. Do you think we will be able to get her back down there in January to climb up on the ice?

SEASON WRAP-UP 2010

The Campground Water and Sewer will be shut-off on Friday, October 29, 2010. Please be sure to replace the battery in your Smoke Detector and secure lawn furniture, lawn ornaments and items that may blow away in the powerful winds. The front restrooms will be available for co-owners wishing to visit throughout the winter. See you in the Spring!! ♥

Back to School

Many of our teachers and school personnel have headed back to school. We wish you all a great year working with our students and parents. Some of our little ones, teens and college students will be returning after Labor Day, and some may have begun their classes already. We hope that you all have a great 2010-11 school year! This time of year is so busy for moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas, but we hope that everyone can make it to our “Summer’s End Celebration” the weekend of September 3rd. to the 6th. Your fall newsletter will be arriving soon, and your Board of Directors hope that you are enjoying the AHCCA blog site. We welcome your comments and feedback. ♥

All Quiet....

July 30, 2010 Seems that the park became very peaceful and silent early tonight because all of those fishing crews are anticipating the 6am start of the fishing frenzy tomorrow. Good Luck to all of the anglers! Don't forget the Pot Luck/ Fish Fry beginning at 5pm. See you there.

Monday, July 26, 2010 The sun and the moon are adding to our enjoyment here at AHCC. Hot sunny days are bringing many people to the beach for dips in the lake, reading under umbrellas and catching some rays. Your new Board of Directors has met, and we have divided up many duties and responsibilities. Our goals are to address concerns, tackle some large and small issues and, of course, try to keep you up to date with decisions. We have determined that stick-built additions will be allowed as long as they adhere to the conditions and rules set in the bylaws. Please remember to request and submit an architectural form and receive approval before making any changes. Contact a board member for more information. Don't forget the fishing tournament this weekend and Don Hopkins promises to have pictures of his winning catch. Maybe we will be seeing Holly in those pixs! I took some pictures of the full orange moon rising at the mouth of the river tonight; I hope they come out....will let you know.

Gloria in Lot 153 has calendars for sale. Each month features a beautiful picture from the campground. Stop by and take a look - she has a beautiful view from her porch and would love to show them to you.

Good News

July 22, 2010 The park looks so beautiful with our new seal-coat on the main roads as well as on the driveways of many sites. Some sites may have been missed, but we will address this as soon as possible. Rain has made the grass so green, the flowers stand in their colorful glory and perked up those container tomato plants seen around the park. I will be out with my camera tomorrow and attach pictures in a few days. Hope to see you this weekend. Mary
